Thanks. I found Female R&B to be rather difficult. . .you have Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Gladys Knight, Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige, Patti Labelle. . .and on and on.

It was rather easy for me though, since I am not a die hard R&B singer. How would your's look had you picked?

Well, I am terrible at remembering all the names, but I wouldn't say Cher or Dolly Parton are the best...

I couldn't think of anyone. I didn't want to say Madonna, because I have always disliked her! Maybe Celine Dion?

I dunno. There are tons of good singers... I just don't know their names... My favorite band of all time is Crosby, Stills and Nash (with Young sometimes).

Good choices. I love the Rap comment. I debate if that's even music or just talking fast.

I've never heard of Lefty, but I do love Emmy Lou (especially when she sang, "To Daddy" and on the Trio Album with Dolly and Linda). And of course, Stevie Nicks and Landslide.

Y'all need to listen to some good rap. It is its own genre and very authentic. I prefer non-USA rap myself.

I'm almost Southern or country Gospel all the way.. So I really don't have very many pics.. I Loved Johnny Cash and Hank Williams SR. Dolly Parton is also great!

Oh I love Johnny Cash and of course, Hank Williams Sr. They probably are better picks than Jackson. Luckily, though, Jackson at least hasn't thwarted over into what I call "fake country". I also like Reba too, but I don't feel like her country roots are well grounded.

R & B: Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin
Rap: Z-Plus and Desdemona
Country/Americana: Bruce Molsky and Rosanne Cash
Pop: Lou Rawls and Barbra Streisand
Rock: Freddie Mercury and the Heart sisters (Nancy and Ann)

I loved doing this! Not easy and terribly subjective. I probably wouldn't come up with the same list tomorrow!
